"Is there need to reconcile global differences in conception of sport or is it something to accept & work around/within?"Doha GOALS (Gathering of all Leaders in Sport) is the premier gathering of its kind, launched by the Aspire Zone Foundation under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and produced by Richard Attias and Associates. This initiative will build a community of hundreds of leaders from around the world who share the conviction that sport is a crucial vehicle for social and economic development. The Forum is action-oriented, and will produce initiatives informed by the values of sport to tackle today's largest global issues. The main Forum will be held in December.
In January 2012, we hosted the Doha GOALS Pre-Forum. This taskforce brought together more than 50 of the leading policymakers, innovators, sports scientists, physicians, federations heads, academics, athletes, corporate executives and competitors to discuss the most pressing issues facing their industry and to find opportunities for growth through sport. This taskforce has set the objectives and agenda for for the Doha GOALS Forum in December 2012. You can read more about the findings here.
